He has a little pink belly and the fluffy fur ends about in inch down his tail. Beyond that he has a spindly little black whip with a tuft on the end. His ears, as you say, are stupidly soft and smell of biscuits.
He sounds utterly adorable. And yes! Biscuity dog ear smell is the best. Me and my dad both have a bad habit of sniffing Seffie's ears when she's lying on one of us. XD
Watching a large furry-pawed puppy try to scamper about on parquet flooring is as good as a play. :)
The cats want us t know that they are hurt, very hurt, that we took this step without consulting them but their injured feelings might be healed by frequent doses of tuna.
Joking apart, one cat is actually a bit upset because she adored our dog - they used to play together - and so she gave this pup the benefit of the doubt. She went to him and gave him a gentle kiss and a sniff and he reciprocated with such an enthusiastic nuzzle that he knocked her over. Now she keeps giving him filthy looks.
Hehe! You'll never have to polish your parquet again now you've got a pup to do it for you! XD
I can quite imagine that the cats will take every opportunity to express their disdain for this hairy interloper. I'm sure they'll come round eventually though, once they figure out how far they can tease him :}
Yes, another flat coat. He comes from the Welsh hills about 40 miles away. Different breeder and bloodline and quite a different personality. He's a lot more confident than Sizz and much more relaxed.
He's a star. :) He's a flat coated retriever but Newfie is a good guess because the breed started out with crosses between English setters and Newfies to try and get a dog that would retrieve from water but wouldn't be quite so heavy as a Newfie. They call them Peter Pan dogs because they remain very puppyish.
OMG!!! I tried to open this hours ago and LJ was being stupid and wouldn't let me open it! How sweet! Got he's bigger than my full grown dog already! How sweet!!!
Sarah Jane is a dainty little ballerina of a dog. Wilf's breed was designed for crashing through undergrowth and hurling itself into ice cold rivers. :D But they are both very sweet.
Oh I believe that they are both very sweet. I mean, just look at that face! OMG! I just want to hug and hold him and feel that soft furr! No... LOL... I just meant that he is BIG! I can't believe he is only nine weeks!
When he's fully gown he'll come to mid thigh on me and I'm not short. Apparently his mum was very large. He'll be terrific for taking camping. Dogs put out a lot of heat. :)
He's gorgeous. Love those huge paws. :) I like the way you say his ears smell of biscuits. I always thought Oscar's paws smelt of toast or popcorn. Lol.
