That's what I've been doing lately. One is more fun than the other, of course.

Yes I've plumped up the cushions in the Comfy Chair again and this time the sitter is Paula Sophia, author of Shadowboxer and Hystericus with some super answers to my questions and a short story!

I love having guests and am trying to line up some others.

Editing - gah. I wish I was more organised. I sent my pirates to some poor souls but I'm still checking it myself. I think I've tidied different bits up in different versions. Either that or I've made changes and haven't saved them or I'm so far gone that I'm dreaming about editing.

Today - gulp - my husband retired! He's gone to bed early, worn out, poor lad, due to having to carry a whole off licence worth of booze home. Dear me, instant cirrhosis! He's also very shocked at the reaction of the kids he teaches - they threw him a party and had a whip round to buy him a very nice wristwatch [having noticed that he always them the time]. Tomorrow he'll begin the adjustment to being his own boss. I think he'll have a brilliant time.

I'm half way through reading the pirates and am loving it so far. Not much in the way of stuff that needs to be changed has struck me yet.

Congratulations to hubby! What are his plans for the future?

thanks :) He makes repro antique furniture to a very high standard so he's hoping to pull in a little bit of extra cash doing that. But mostly he plans to chill - he's earned it. Ooh and puppy in the autumn. We miss sirius so much we've decided we can't manage without a dog.
