For how long has LJ demanded non-LJers use a Capcha thingy when commenting? I've been making posts for bg_thomas, who is laid up in hospital poor man, and was just shocked to the core of my being when I tried to comment before logging back into my account.

I have wet socks again :( Maybe I need to get a pair of these:

I think the captcha thing has been there for a while for anon commenters. I think my eyes are getting worse, because I'm finding those damn things harder and harder to read! Or maybe I'm actually turning into a bot! That most be it!

Speaking of bots, nice picture! Though it could use a NSFW warning on it! :D

With the captchas I make use of the 'gimme a new one' button until one pops up that I can read. Some of them are unintelligible.

Oh yes, the number if times I have to retry to get one I can read is definitely going up.

I do that too. Some are hopeless. Even so, even with easy ones, I have gotten them wrong sometimes.
