It's possible some of the hedges around here look like this but I can't see them through the grey veils of rain. But we should have good apples so let's look forward to the cider season.

I'll wear what I wore this afternoon as I single handedly cleared a severely blocked external drain. There are times I appreciate having little sense of smell.

Our hedges are a bit like that. I am suffering this morning from having got up at 4.30 to go and dance the sun up outside Ely Cathedral. It clearly worked, but I'm wondering if it was worth the effort.

yeah-- dancing the sun up. It worked, after a fashion! We got sunrise AND rain with only one and a half dances! Ran for shelter (the overhang outside the Muny Opera Theatre) and finished the job.

The weather is all turned upside down. We had a beautiful dry mild May Day her on the West Coast of Scotland. It's not natural!

We were all in such a rush yesterday morning that we didn't have a chance to wash our faces in the morning dew so partner went out and collected a little pot of dew and saved it for daughter and I until we got home form school and work!
