I'm going to christen my computer the Procrastination Station, I think. I can't think of any good reason why when I'm at work with both hands busy, music playing and am trying to concentrate I get characters chatting away in the back of my minds and coming up with some half way decent dialogue and business, but when I'm at home and quiet and could actually write it all down they shut up and hide.

So frustrating!

But I did have one idea that made me giggle a lot this morning and in a coup of lateral thinking I've written that down on a bit of paper. Hah! They weren't expecting that.

Do you have a notepad at work on which to jot ideas during the day?

Yes but it wasn't in arms reach. I've tucked the bit of paper into it and have nailed the idea down now - it was about inappropriate actions at inappropriate times and amused me a lot though at least one of the characters involved will probably be mortified. :D I'm so easily amused.

Ha ha! I can relate. A while ago I was in the waiting room at the hospital and I had an idea. But.....no pen so I borrowed one from the receptionist and wrote on the back of an old receipt while I was standing at her desk. I don't think she saw what I'd written, but next time I go I'll probably get fingers pointed at me and whispers behind hands. As in..."yeah, that's her. Tut, disgusting". Lol.

What did you write, you naughty thing? :D

I love writing by hand. I have a whole story on paper that I add to when I've got a bit of block. For some reason it seems so much easier to write in pen on paper - the physical process is more pleasant and there's the whole thing about forming the letters nicely. i suspect it gives the subconscious a bit of a rest.

Well, I'd just discovered the lovely word *Lujuria* which is Spanish for LUST, and thought of a scene where I could use the word. Not that saucy really, but what's NOT saucy to us is probably "Ugh, gross" to er others. :)

Oh those delicious latin languages!

That's one way of making a hospital visit more bearable. I hope all is okay?

Yes thanks hun, just a routine check- up after a mole turned a little nasty in 2008. Anyway, now I always carry pen and notebook with me. :)

I try to but invariably am caught without one when the inspiration strikes *sigh*

I knew I'd drawn Loki (http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d41/Essayel/Faces/lokiboundwithfigleaf.jpg). I put a figleaf on so not to offend your delicate sensibilities.
