You know that feeling you get when you make a couple of extravagant guesses with little to no basis in fact and then you go looking for the things that fit and whoohoo there they are and even better things that you weren't actually looking for turn up too?
If you don't I hope you do soon because XD *blissful grin*
Thank you, thank you, Saltburn by the Sea for providing just the right kind of beach, just the right kind of cliffs, a ford with alders AND a Roman signalling station with 14 skeletons of Romano-Celts that died by violence [poor souls] and were thrown down the well.
I'm SO TIRED. I had mutiny in the ranks at 3am this morning. I'd decided to drop the Gododdin for a month or two while I finished my pirates but then Cynfal started growling that it wasn't fair to put him aside just as he'd started showing signs of decency. Gwion has difficulty talking but nodded agreement. Kit snarled that at least they were getting some. "I've been hanging around for 85,000 words. Look at my hands!" They were shaking a bit. "Tell me about it," Griffin sighed. Even sadder was Miles Seaward. "I'm trapped in 'rooms' in Camden with a man I dislike and I'm wearing a frock," he mourned and looked daggers when all of them but Briers, who looked a bit hurt, sniggered. And a whole passel of other people spoke up too - Gwyn Derry, Daveth Gwinnel, Bellamy and Dannith. Resolution for next year is to stop starting 100k novels and write short stories instead. I might finish those.
Off to bed now because tomorrow I'm taking Mum and Jenny Christmas shopping! I hope the lads shut up tonight or I'll threaten to write chick lit.
